Maintenance Plumber
Location: Birmingham, UK
Salary: £32,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call and weekend work
About the Role:
My client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Plumber to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing systems across various residential and commercial properties in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and heating systems.
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing and repairing faults efficiently.
Install and repair water, heating, and drainage systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Perform routine inspections to identify and prevent potential plumbing issues.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Collaborate with other maintenance professionals to ensure building systems are fully operational.
Provide excellent customer service to clients and building occupants.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years' experience in maintenance plumbing within residential and/or commercial settings.
Valid UK driving licence.
Knowledge of water regulations, Legionella control, and Health & Safety compliance.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
CSCS card (preferred).
Gas Safe registration (advantageous but not essential).
Desirable Qualifications:
BPEC Unvented Systems certification.
Water Regulations Knowledge certificate.
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
