Summary

Role: Deputy Head (Maternity cover) 1 year fixed term contract

Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire

Hours: 40 hours per week, term time

Salary Details: Up to £40,000 per annum DOE

The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a senior leader and be able to demonstrate experience of having worked within a SEN setting. We are looking for a child-focused, energetic, committed and forward-thinking individual who will work closely with the headteacher to achieve desired outcomes and be an integral part of the wider education team.

The school:

Cambian Home Tree School is an independent DfE-registered, co-educational day school which specialises in accommodating students who have Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. The school typically caters for up to 20 students aged between 12-18 years of age and each classroom features different learning environments for alternative ways of learning. Individually tailored educational pathways are created to ensure each student's needs are met.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for the day to day running of the school in the absence of the Headteacher
  • Be responsible for collating and analysing data to evidence pupil and whole school progress
  • Supervise, inspire and support the education team.
  • Be Jointly responsible for development and implementation of the curriculum.
  • Have a passion and commitment to the leadership, management and improvement of our school.
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to motivate/ support, lead and inspire students and colleagues promoting high standards of attainment in all aspects of school life.
  • Be committed to working in partnership with the students, staff, parents and the wider community
