Recruitment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Legal Secretary to join a well-regarded property department in the Sutton/Cheam area. This is a full-time, office-based role supporting fee earners handling a broad range of commercial and residential property matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist fee earners with mixed property caseloads including leaseholds, freeholds, re-mortgages, lease extensions, and new builds
- Handle the conveyancing process from instruction through to post-completion
- Prepare legal documentation such as TR1, AP1, SDLT forms and Land Registry applications
- Manage client onboarding, AML checks, file opening, and archiving
- Audio typing, proofreading, document formatting, and managing correspondence
- Coordinate billing and handle administrative tasks related to transactions
- Provide professional and responsive client communication and internal support
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a legal secretary role, preferably within property or conveyancing
- Strong understanding of commercial and residential conveyancing processes
- Excellent typing, organisational and communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident using MS Office and case management systems
- A proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
