About the Role
Minerva Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established care provider for a Deputy Manager (Nursing) to support the day-to-day leadership of a high-quality care home in Knutsford.
As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the service. You’ll support the Home Manager in overseeing operations, leading the care team, and ensuring regulatory compliance and excellent standards of care. In the absence of the Home Manager, you will assume full managerial responsibility.
This is a hands-on role that combines clinical leadership, staff supervision, and a commitment to person-centred care. You’ll lead by example, promote best practices, and help cultivate a caring and supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the Home Manager with daily operations, clinical leadership, and compliance
• Provide direct supervision, training, and mentoring to the care team
• Ensure care plans and daily documentation are up to date and reflect residents’ needs
• Carry out pre-admission assessments and assist with the admissions process
• Engage with residents and families to promote participation and communication
• Uphold safeguarding practices and identify appropriate referral pathways
• Act as a point of contact for external health professionals and regulatory bodies
• Take full responsibility for the home in the manager’s absence

What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a nursing or residential care setting
• NMC-registered nurse with relevant clinical experience (essential)
• A strong understanding of CQC standards and safeguarding responsibilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident in managing staff and fostering a positive team culture
• Passionate about high-quality, person-centred care delivery
