Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We’re looking for a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a team and help make a real difference in the lives of pupils. You will work closely with teachers and the SENDCo to support children with a variety of additional needs, ensuring they receive tailored support to succeed both academically and socially. Your role is key in fostering a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide one-to-one and group support tailored to individual pupil needs
Assist in implementing and monitoring personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
Adapt learning activities and resources as required
Promote positive behaviour and independence
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children with SEN, including conditions such as ASD, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties
Patient, empathetic, and approachable
Strong communication and teamwork skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training will be provided)
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support desirable but not essential
