We are currently looking for enthusiastic radiographers to work in our busy, friendly departments at both King's Mill Hospital and Newark Hospital, where we are committed to CPD and career development. You will gain experience in all aspects of general radiography, CT rotation, including accident and emergency work and orthopaedic radiography. There will be a requirement to participate in the out of hours rota after an appropriate period of induction. We provide support for newly qualified radiographers with mentors and in house training plus CPD.
The successful applicant must:
• Have current HCPC registration
• Hold Radiography degree or DCRR

• Perform x-ray examinations to a high standard, whilst observing the Ionising Radiations Regulations 17 and the Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposures) Regulations 2017 and the Local rules.
• Communicate effectively in an appropriate manner, complex information to patients, relatives and staff concerning radiological examinations
• Be aware of the responsibilities placed on him/her under the Health and safety at Work Act, 1974 and subsequent Health and Safety legislations
• Deliver and maintain a high quality service, by participation in the department's Quality Assurance and Standards setting programmes, and by updating skills and knowledge on a continuing basis and maintaining a Personal Development Portfolio.
• Undertake audits and assessment of own practice.
• Maintain levels of cleanliness and infection control to meet with the Trust’s Infection Control Policies.
• Participate, on a rota basis, for most radiological examinations in the department, (which may include CT and Nuclear Medicine at KMH and CT at NWK), and also theatre and mobile work.
• Report all malfunctions and breakdowns of equipment in accordance with departmental policy and IRR17.
• Participate in the training of student radiographers in accordance with guidance from affiliated universities.
