The Discovery Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Associate Teacher of Computer Science (Apprenticeship Route) to join our strong team of highly motivated professionals who work collaboratively to raise standards and expectations at all levels throughout Key Stages 3 and 4.
You will be placed on the Staffordshire University Apprentice Teacher Programme, which is fully funded by Alpha Academies Trust. During the programme you will complete a Level 6 Apprenticeship course and gain Qualified Teacher Status within a maximum period of 15 months. During this time, you will benefit from on-the-job teaching experience along with 6 hours per week dedicated to your own learning and development. There will be a permanent position available upon completion of the apprenticeship.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public, including staff and students in accurate spoken English is essential for the post, therefore postholders must be able to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence through the medium of English.
