Summary

We have an opportunity for a Motorcycle Mechanic/Technician to join our friendly, independently owned business.

Must have a passion for bikes, be experienced, qualified and willing and able to work on any type/make of motorcycle. Must have problem solving/fault finding skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of motorbikes.

Responsibilities -

Duties will include routine maintenance & servicing, tyre fitting, general repairs & bike building.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and technical issues.

Install genuine and aftermarket parts and accessories as requested by customers.

Resolving defects, repairing or replacing broken or defective parts.

Perform visual and electronic health checks (EVHC) on all motorcycles.

Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to new and used motorcycles and ensure that they are road-ready.

To maintain job sheets, keep records of labour, materials, parts, supplies and other records necessary in the repair and maintenance process.

Ensure all paperwork is up to date and accurate.

Ensure all jobs are completed within agreed time-frames and that a high level of productivity is maintained.

Maintain working area, tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition.
Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks.

Experience/Requirements -

Have at least 2 years proven experience in a similar technician role.

Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanics or automotive technology would be advantageous.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Be able to confidently perform all tasks required.

Work with current diagnostic equipment.

Be able to work unsupervised in a safe and timely manner.

Have excellent communications skills face to face and on the phone.

Be a team player and possess a positive/can-do attitude.

You must have your own tools and a full motorcycle licence.
