Position: Support Worker
Location: Swadlincote
Work Base: Site-based with regular travel required
Salary: Starting from £28,000 per annum, sleeps paid at £42 per sleep, 2 sleeps per week which is an average of £3684 additional per year.
Hours: Full time/permeant/33 hours per week including 2 sleeps.
Reports to: Service Manager (or nominated person)
DBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS – Adult Workforce
Purpose of the Role
P4 are currently working with a client who are looking for exceptional support workers to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support. You’ll work directly with individuals to empower them in improving their quality of life, enhancing independence, and accessing essential services.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery
Provide tailored support that helps people live more independently, make informed choices, and develop essential life skills.
Carry out keywork sessions either in service users’ homes, community settings or hubs on a 1:1 basis.
Participate in assessments, including risk assessments, and deliver emotional, practical, and advisory support.
Support individuals in exploring and securing housing options and other relevant services.
Assist in scheduling and attending appointments with professionals such as social workers, medical staff or probation officers.
Provide guidance around budgeting, debt management, and welfare benefit applications.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including financial and communication logs.
Teamwork
Be an active part of a collaborative, supportive staff team, fostering a safe and positive environment.
Contribute to a varied programme of activities tailored to individual needs and preferences, helping people build confidence and reduce their reliance on support over time.

Quality and Development
Complete the staff induction programme and help train new colleagues, students, and volunteers where needed.
Attend and contribute to regular team meetings, supervision, training, and development sessions.
Take responsibility for your ongoing professional development and participate in relevant training opportunities.

Understanding of housing services and external agency roles.
Awareness of relevant local authority legislation.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to maintain accurate and professional records.
Skilled in building positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Flexible and responsive to the changing needs of the service.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle and own business insurance.

Qualifications
Desirable:
NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in a relevant health or social care field.
Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development.
