Sales Manager – Fertilisers, Agrochemicals & Seeds - Hertfordshire - Competitive Salary + Bonus + Car Allowance

The Job:
Are you passionate about UK agriculture and experienced in selling to farmers? We're looking for a dynamic and driven Sales Manager to join our team, helping farmers across Hertfordshire maximise their yields and grow their businesses.
As Sales Manager, you'll be the go-to expert for fertilisers, crop protection products, and seed solutions. You’ll build strong relationships with local farmers, understand their needs, and provide tailored agronomic support and commercial advice.
Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and grow a portfolio of farming clients across Hertfordshire
- Promote and sell a range of fertilisers, agchems and seeds
- Provide agronomic advice and technical product knowledge to support customer decisions
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Work closely with internal supply, logistics, and technical teams to ensure smooth delivery and service
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance KPIs

A well-established agribusiness based in the East of England, this independent arable merchant provides agrochemicals, seed, fertiliser, and grain trading services. Known for its personal yet professional approach, the company supports growers with expert agronomic advice and a strong local presence, all backed by in-house trials and longstanding industry partnerships.

The Candidate:

- Proven experience in agricultural sales, ideally in fertilisers, crop protection or seeds
- Strong agronomic knowledge and understanding of UK arable and/or mixed farming systems
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, well-organised and target-driven
- FACTS and/or BASIS qualifications, or willingness to achieve them
- Full UK driving licence
