At Hounsome Fields Primary School, we’re looking for a passionate, proactive School Receptionist to join our vibrant, expanding team as we open our doors in September 2025. This is your chance to play an integral role in shaping our school culture and community from the very start.
Key Responsibilities:
• Be the first point of contact for the School Office
• To present a positive image of the school to parents and the local community
• Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service to parents, pupils, and visitors
• Handle telephone and email inquiries professionally and efficiently
• Maintain accurate records and manage the school’s information management systems
• Assist with administrative tasks as required by the school’s Office Manager
• Support the safeguarding and welfare of pupils by adhering to school policies
Administration:
• Working alongside the Office Manager and coordinate whole school events
• Working alongside the Office Manager to maintain records in accordance with the Trust’s data retention schedule and ensure records are destroyed securely on an annual basis.
• Ensure compliance with Data Protection regulations.
Safeguarding:
• Understand that it is everyone’s responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and that everybody has a role to play in identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action.
• Consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.
• Refer any safeguarding or child protection concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Provide a safe environment in which children can learn.
