Job Title: Assistant Grower – Organic Vegetable Farming
Location: Bridgwater (Rural Somerset)
Pay: From £13.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Grower to join a small, committed team working on an organic vegetable farm. This is a hands-on, full-time role that will see you involved in every stage of the process — from seed to doorstep.

The role offers a varied mix of tractor-based tasks and manual work, including cultivations, planting, harvesting, and transporting produce in the field. It is ideal for someone with a strong practical mindset, previous growing experience, and a genuine interest in sustainable and organic farming practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting all growing tasks from soil prep to harvest

  • Operating and maintaining tractors and farm machinery

  • Manual work including planting, weeding, and harvesting

  • Contributing to a productive and supportive working environment

  • Working in all weather conditions

    Requirements:

    • Proven practical and hands-on skills

    • Experience with vegetable growing (organic preferred)

    • A positive, productive attitude and willingness to learn

    • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team

    • Full UK driving licence

    • Equipment and tractor operating experience

      Accommodation:
Comfortable accommodation available in a mobile home on-site. Rent is negotiable on a case-by-case basis.

      Pay & Hours:

      • Starting from £13.00 per hour (depending on experience)

      • Permanent, full-time role

      • Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility during peak seasons

If you're passionate about sustainable farming, enjoy physically rewarding work, and want to be part of a team that grows high-quality organic produce — this could be the role for you.
