We are looking for a dedicated Welding Robot Engineer to join our client based in Grantham on a permanent basis.

This position involves operating a collaborative robotic welding system (full training provided), along with hands on fabrication and metal assembly tasks.

Ideal candidates will have a background in MIG welding and a willingness to learn robotic systems. You’ll be working with a variety of metal components in a supportive, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor a collaborative robotic welding system (training provided)
• Carry out MIG welding and manual assembly of metal structures to precise specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders
• Use hand tools and machinery to cut, shape, and finish metal components
• Perform quality checks on completed welds and assemblies
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines
• Properly handle and store materials and tools

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency in MIG welding (essential)
• Previous experience with robotic welders is a plus, but not required — training will be provided
• Basic understanding of mechanical processes, tooling, and material handling
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
• A proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Working Hours

• Day shift (Monday to Thursday, 07:00–17:15)
• 39 hours per week
