We are an engineering company specialising in the supply, installation and on-going maintenance of sewage and drainage pumping equipment and cesspool type tanks (Packaged Pumping Stations).
We are looking to recruit an assistant/van driver both for on-site working and workshop/yard basic production work.
The successful applicant must be 25 years old or over for our vehicle insurance, and hold a full, clean driving license (3 penalty points may be accepted); be physically fit as some degree of lifting submersible pumps (up to 23Kg) from below ground chambers would be required, etc.
You would be regularly working with raw sewage and occasionally within confined spaces. Full training and PPE would be provided.
A considerable amount of travelling (either as driver or passenger) is likely as we attend to sites all over the UK.
Occasional overnight stay-overs (in Premier Inns) may also be required from time-to-time.
Applications are welcome from all age groups (25 and over), and those nearing retirement age are equally encouraged to apply.
This role has scope from basic daily duties through to full training leading to electrical qualification. We invite applications from all those interested in any aspects of this job.
Our normal hours are 08.00 to 16.00 Monday to Friday, however due to possible delays on sites and whilst travelling, longer hours should be expected. Some weekend working may also be required. Operatives are required to be 'on call' one weekend in every 3 weekends, but a retainer payment is provided for this.
Annual income of £36,000 is expected once overtime and bonuses have been added.
