What we are looking for
Full time staff - Summer Contract until End September
Previous kitchen experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Someone who wants to start work in the kitchen
Someone who is adaptable, dependable and can handle a family packed Sunday roast shift just as easily as a band night.
The Role
A Kitchen Assistant/Kitchen Porter at the Pigs Nose Inn plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen.
Their main responsibilities typically include:
Supporting the kitchen team – assisting chefs with basic food prep, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
Washing up and cleaning – keeping kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment clean and organised.
Maintaining hygiene standards – ensuring food safety regulations are followed, including proper storage and handling of food.
Handling deliveries – checking and storing stock properly.
General kitchen duties – assisting with any tasks needed to keep the kitchen running efficiently.
It's a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone hardworking, reliable, and willing to be part of a team.
