We have an opportunity at Barnet Hospital to recruit a dynamic Band 7 Physiotherapist to become part of our integrated Medical HSEP (Health Services for Elderly People) therapy team. This post is to cover maternity leave and will initially be for 6 months with a potential to extend to 12 months. Our HSEP team includes therapy support workers, occupational therapists, dieticians, speech and language therapists and physiotherapists. All disciplines are dedicated to providing and improving our excellent quality of care for older patients and those living with frailty and dementia.

The successful candidate should be an enthusiastic and passionate therapist, who is keen to develop their specialist clinical knowledge and management skills. They should be forward thinking and pro-active with excellent organisational and clinical skills within the fast paced in-patient setting, to facilitate safe discharges and provide excellent quality of care. There are many opportunities to lead on and participate in Quality Improvement projects and assist in setting new directions for our service. Good communication skills and the motivation to encourage and facilitate best practice is required. You will be joining a well established and supportive integrated Therapy team and work closely with, and be supported by, the Clinical Lead and an Advanced Frailty Practitioner.

It is a requirement for this post to participate in the 7 day working roster and bank holiday cover.

The Therapy Department holds a high profile within the Trust and you will be encouraged to develop your clinical, teaching and managerial skills within Trust values and CPD guidelines. Support and supervision will be provided. Our multidisciplinary Therapy Services department is committed to staff and service development and offers a large range of in-service and external training to suit individual’s learning objectives and the needs of the service.
