An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Assistant to work within the Out of Hours District Nursing Service.
The role involves working autonomously with the support of the wider team to deliver planned care, and successful candidates will be able to demonstrate good problem-solving skills, adaptability and resilience at interview. Training and development support will be provided with a dedicated mentor and competency framework in place to ensure that the post holder is secure and confident in their role.
Ability to work contracted hours rotationally across day and night shifts, as reasonably required by the needs of the service, with the ability to work from alternate bases within the Pennine locality as per needs of the service. This a 7-day service, including weekends and Bank Holidays.

The Health Care Assistant will work as a member of the Out of hours District Nurse Service and assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of health care to patients within a variety of settings.
Main duties-
• Continue to develop and undertake a range of delegated tasks and will report to a registered practitioner.
• Provide assistance within unscheduled care services and contribute to the delivery and evaluation of care and interventions.
• Take responsibility for maintaining and developing own clinical competence within the workplace.
Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle is essential
