Bring learning to life. Help young people rediscover their spark.
At Inaura School, we believe that learning should be inspiring, relational, and rooted in trust. We're a small, specialist SEMH school nestled in the Somerset countryside, working 1:1 with extraordinary young people who need something different.
We’re looking for a full-time Design & Technology Workshop Tutor to deliver creative, hands-on sessions for students aged 8–18. You'll lead from a fully-equipped, bespoke workshop, working closely with each learner to build skills, confidence, and a sense of pride in what they create.
This is not a typical teaching role. It's an invitation to use your practical skills—and your heart—to transform lives.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Leading practical D&T projects in wood, metal, and other materials.
• Designing creative learning experiences that meet each student where they are.
• Building meaningful relationships with young people.
• Creating a structured, safe, and inspiring workshop environment.
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
• Helping students discover they can achieve things they never thought possible.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
• Is confident using tools, machines, and materials.
• Has experience working with young people with SEMH needs.
• Can stay calm and consistent under pressure.
• Believes in creative, flexible, relationship-led learning.
• Is ready to join a close-knit, values-driven team.
Why Work With Us?
• A school where wellbeing is the foundation.
• A supportive team culture.
• A role that genuinely changes lives.
• Professional development in therapeutic practice.
• A peaceful and creative setting in Somerset.
Inaura School offers the following benefits:
Pension scheme
Employee Assistance Programme – 24 hour help and advice line/counselling/therapy
Free parking
Continual Professional Development
