Senior Management Accountant
Salary: £45 - 55K
Type: 6-month contract
Location: Fleetwood
This is an opportunity to support a family business through a period of change. With a turnover of circa £20m you will be responsible to produce all management accounts through a period of change and restructure.
Initially the contract will be for a 6-month period with the likelihood of a further 3-month extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Variance Analysis: Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying and explaining variances.
- Team Management: Lead and develop a small finance team, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and compliance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional Certification: Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience: Significant post-qualification experience in management accounting.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, proficiency in financial software, ideally Sage 50, and advanced Excel skills.

- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
