Summary
Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and manage MSK conditions using evidence-based practice. Identify red flag symptoms and escalate cases appropriately. Develop individualised rehab and management plans, promoting self-management. Maintain accurate clinical documentation. Tailor care to patient needs, considering health, well-being, and employment factors. Facilitate patient self-management, minimising pharmacological interventions. Deliver group and one-to-one patient education sessions. Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis effectively. Support patient decision-making and adherence in line with NICE guidelines. Uphold clinical governance through audit, evaluation, supervision, and training. Professional Collaboration & Development Participate in clinical supervision and case discussions. Engage in personal development, training, and competency completion. Support student physiotherapist induction and mentoring. Contribute to audits and service improvement initiatives. Build strong working relationships within the PCN multidisciplinary team. Promote MSK health initiatives across practices. Key Skills & Attributes Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to thrive in fast-paced settings. Organised, adaptable, and quick to learn new systems and policies. Motivated to develop clinical and leadership skills. Proficient in MS Office, HR databases, and modern tech-based collaboration tools. Experience & Qualifications HCPC & CSP registered Physiotherapist with 12+ months of MSK-focused experience. Maintains an up-to-date CPD portfolio. Strong clinical reasoning, independent practice skills, and commitment to patient-centred care. Experience with SystmOne & NHS primary care MSK settings (desirable).
