Join Fabrica's team as our next Venue Hire Manager, a dynamic and fulfilling role leading our private hire and café-bar operations from our beautiful, Grade II* listed venue in the heart of Brighton. You'll be someone who is great with people, ambitious to create brilliant wedding parties and other landmark events and highly organised with a real attention to detail.
Housed in a former 19th-century chapel, Fabrica is a unique and atmospheric space that hosts a wide range of events — from wedding celebrations and private parties to cultural launches and corporate functions. Our award-winning venue has been recognised as City Wedding Venue of the Year and received a Bronze in the Beautiful South Tourism Awards. It is a much-loved part of the community and a sought-after location for people wanting to create lasting memories.
While Fabrica’s core mission is to support artists and present contemporary visual art, commercial hires have become a vital part of our sustainability. As Venue Hire Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering excellent service to our clients, maximising income from private events, and overseeing our café-bar operations.
You’ll need a commercial mindset, strong organisational and interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality events. From first enquiry to post-event wrap-up, you’ll ensure clients have a smooth, supportive and memorable experience. You’ll work closely with our Co-Directors, freelance staff and Venue Hire Assistant to grow our hire business and maintain our venue’s strong reputation.
This is a varied and hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes and providing great service, and who wants to contribute meaningfully to a creative, community-driven organisation.
