Summary
The responsibilities of this post will include, but not limited to, the following:
Perform arrivals checks on all individuals assigned to the unit, ensuring that their record is correct and adjusting as required. Review pay, allowances and charges to ensure that they are paid at the correct rates in accordance with current regulations. This process is normally to be completed within 7 days of arrival in the unit.
Input occurrences for Service Personnel ensuring that they are properly authorised in accordance with regulations and that all supporting documentation is held.
Perform Management Checks as directed by the Regimental Admin Warrant Officer and Finance Staff Sargent (Military Adjutant's General Corp team leaders). This will include the investigation of anomalies, taking remedial action and, where necessary, reporting issues to the chain of command.
Provide support and regulation-based advice to all Service Personnel covering Pay, Allowances, Charges and Self-Service. This includes advice on the input of all Expenses and allowances.
Collate and maintain personal documents for Service Personnel, carrying out detailed checks for correctness This includes checks of ID cards and ID discs and applying for replacements as required.
Checking the Pay Statements of Service personnel to ensure that all new and outstanding observations have been correctly actioned or any discrepancies are to be referred to the chain of command.
Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in attendance. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or carry out detached duty in another MOD workplace, will also count towards this level of attendance.
