Personal Assistant required to support a 52 year old woman with fibromyalgia and joint hypermobility syndrome which causes a great deal of pain, discomfort and chronic fatigue. I am in need of someone who is flexible and able to adapt to what I need on a day to day basis.
At times this will involve using your initiative and working independently when I am unable to proceed with planned activities due to physical crisis situations.
I require some help with liaising and communicating with health professionals by phone and email etc. Also, making sure medication is collected, and administered during crisis. Plus I need help when I am able to attend hydrotherapy and other medical appointments.
In addition to this, I need help around the home with household chores like cleaning and laundry. I am also in need of assistance with shopping and preparing/cooking meals.
I would like someone to help with socialising when I am able; I enjoy going to the cinema, bird watching, visiting gardens and word games - especially Scrabble!
The successful candidate must be able to drive and own their own car (expenses provided). Experience not necessarily needed in care work as training can be given however references and DBS checks are needed please.
