The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit a number of experienced Wood Production Operatives, to work as Timber Manufacturers at our client's busy workshop based in Wickham, Hampshire.
Duties to include, but not limited to: Manufacturing timber frames and other wood-based products Accurately cutting and sawing wood, ready to be assembled Using nail guns and other power tools to assemble wood Working to specific measurements and drawings Quality checking finished products to ensure customer satisfaction Maintaining health and safety standards within the factory
The ideal candidate will have/be: Previous experience in wood manufacturing Previous experience in using nail guns, hand tools and power tools Worked in a similar environment (manufacturing/production factory) Switched on, sensible and looking to learn and develop
The role of Timber Production Operative is a temp-to-perm position, meaning the company will offer a permanent contract after a 12-week qualifying period, depending on performance and attendance.
The working hours are 07:30 - 16:30, Monday - Thursday, and 07:30 - 16:00 Friday.
The starting pay rate is £12.50 per hour.
Any successful candidates will be put forward for an interview with the company. If you are successful in the interview, a start date will be agreed, expected to be around mid-June.
