JOB DESCRIPTION

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 13 year old male. I live in the Aberdare area with my family and pets. I have a diagnosis of ASD and ADHD with significant learning disability. I am non-verbal and also display PICA. I like to keep to myself and I love being outdoors. I like to go to Aberdare Park, trampolining and to the beach. I love swings and ice cream. I don’t like crowds and loud noises, which can trigger a meltdown.

PURPOSE OF JOB

The purpose of the job is to allow me to access the outdoors while ensuring I am safe at all times. This position will be 2:1 support.

HOURS OF WORK

6 hours per week

(3 hours per PA)

These hours will be worked after school or during the weekend

RATES OF PAY

£12.60 per hour

Mileage will be covered for the PA that drives me in their car

TASKS INVOLVED

Personal care, changing of nappy
Social outings, community activities
Being outdoors in all weathers
Ensure I am safe at all times as I have no sense of danger
Any other reasonable tasks

PAs to be direct and give clear instructions, I like to know what I be doing

Car driver, access to a car with business class insurance
One PA to be a male
PAs okay with pets (dogs & cats) at my home

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).

The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
