Crynodeb
Clinically, as an ED senior doctor (ST4+ equivalent), your role will be in the assessment and treatment of the ill and injured patient as well as providing clinical advice to more junior ED clinicians, where appropriate. You will have the opportunity to be lead or part of the Trauma Team within the ED and to be the nominated Resus or Paediatric doctor of the day. You will be expected to lead your colleagues in these areas as well as being an active team member. The clinical experience you gain will be diverse and interesting. As an employee of the Trust the post-holder will work in close co-operation with and support other clinical, medical, professional, and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Trusts patients. The Simulation Fellow role will suit trainees who are interested in: Contributing to a successful weekly in-situ simulation programme Building relationships with other departments and organising multi-specialty simulation in the emergency department - especially for complex/HALO scenarios Developing skills in simulation education and debriefing. Working collaboratively to drive the trusts simulation strategy Creating a new and bespoke simulation training day/course for colleagues Reinforcing learning from simulation by developing methods for sharing amongst the whole team Using simulation to test pathways and systems - contributing to safety and risk management in ED.
