Location – Hilton Depot, Bishopbriggs

Dayshift Mon-Thurs 6.30am – 2.30pm Fri 6.30am – 2pm

Backshift Mon-Thurs 10.00am – 6.30pm Fri 6.30am - 11.30am

We operate a fleet of 435 Assets and are looking to appoint a skilled and experienced LGV / Plant Mechanic to work in our busy Fleet Services Team. The successful candidate will be based at our workshops in Bishopbriggs and play a vital role in keeping our fleet operational and fully compliant.

In this role your duties will include:

  • day-to-day maintenance and repair of the Council’s plant and fleet vehicles
  • service, inspection, and maintenance of vehicles & plant to industry standards
  • ensuring all work undertaken is of the highest standard and vehicles and plant in operation are always roadworthy
  • being part of an emergency call out rota, as there is a compulsory standby service in operation

Should an employee leave in advance of the payment being deducted, the full amount will be deducted from the employee’s final salary.
