Summary
Early Years Practitioner (Term Time Only)
Location: Clitheroe
Pay: National Minimum Wage (dependent on age)
Hours: Term time only 18-30 hrs Per week
Are you passionate about early childhood education and love the great outdoors? We’re looking for a caring, creative, and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team at Bowland Preschool where we believe children thrive through nature-based, community-focused learning.
About Us:
At Bowland Preschool, we take learning outside the classroom. Our child centred curriculum is inspired by forest school principles and encourages curiosity, independence, and connection with the local community and environment. From bug hunts to community gardening and library visits to bus journeys, every day is an adventure.
What You'll Do:
• Support the planning and delivery of engaging, child-led activities in outdoor and community settings
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children can explore and grow
• Work closely with colleagues, families, and community members to enrich the learning experience
• Observe and assess children’s development in line with EYFS guidelines
About You:
• Enthusiastic about early years education and outdoor learning
• A team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Willing to work in all weather conditions and get stuck into messy play!
• Ideally hold a relevant Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification (or be working toward it)
