Trust responsibilities: To be part of the Pharmacy team and work with staff within the pharmacy department and across the Trust to enable the objectives of the Trust to be achieved. Professional responsibilities: To be accountable for the delivery of high quality, patient centred, safe and progressive outpatient pharmacy services and work in accordance with GPhC standards for Pharmacy Professionals 2017. Clinical practice: To participate in clinical validation and accuracy checking within the outpatient pharmacy. Staff management, training & development: To provide day-to-day clinical and professional leadership and supervision of the outpatient pharmacy team when acting as RP. Operational management: To contribute to the delivery of a high quality and timely outpatient pharmacy service for staff and visitors. Medicines management: To ensure the day-to-day safe and appropriate management of controlled drugs (CDs) in the outpatient pharmacy. Legal responsibility for CDs whilst acting as the Responsible Pharmacist (RP) will remain with the RP. Financial: To contribute to the optimisation and development of the overall profitability of the outpatient pharmacy business.
