Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Rent, Estate Services and Service Charge Assistant

We are looking to appoint a preferably qualified and experienced individual for the role of Rent, Estate Services and Service Charge (RES) Assistant in the Income Team. The role sits within the RES Team who are primarily responsible for

  • Ensuring the rental data held in our systems is correct and applying the inflationary rent increase each year
  • Managing Estate Services contracts for Communal Cleaning, Window Cleaning and External Grounds Maintenance
  • Setting Service Charges to recover the cost of providing various services.
  • Administering the Northumbrian Water Discount scheme

    You will support the development and delivery of these services.

    About the role

    The successful candidate will provide an efficient administration service to the team and support the annual rent and service charge review process to ensure Karbon meets its statutory requirements. Continually help develop, support and deliver service provision in response to customer needs, policy and legislation. The post holder will undertake rent charge changes to maximise Karbon’s service charge recovery and administer water charges falling under the Northumbrian Water collection agreement

    We are looking for a highly motivated and flexible person, who can support a multi-functioning team, who has the ability and attitude and interpersonal skills to build strong and effective relationships with customers and colleagues.

    You’ll have good organisational, time management and ICT skills and be a team player and enjoy working in a fast paced team environment.

    • Salary is £25,055 per annum (pending pay review)
    • Location: Gosforth
    • 37 hours per week, office based initially with some flexible working once trained.
