What skills and experience we're looking for
Attain Academy Partnership Trust is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in shaping the Trust's financial future. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader, able to balance oversight of operational excellence with high-level strategic insight, ensuring long-term financial health and growth. This is a great opportunity to join a values-driven Trust at an exciting stage in our development. You will be a key member of the Trust's Leadership Team, working closely with the CEO and other Leaders to develop and implement strategy and to resource and deliver the organisation's strategic objectives sustainably.
The CFO is expected to bring a modern, commercial approach to the leadership of the finance function, running it as a highly competent and efficient service with an emphasis on a proactive and education-focused service. As well as ensuring the financial health of our organisation, you will bring experience of lateral thinking when it comes to realising the financial opportunities that we have within our Trust.
The CFO is directly responsible to the Chief Executive, who is the accounting officer for the Trust, and is ultimately responsible for the proper financial conduct of the institution. The CFO will provide advice on strategic financial issues and be responsible for financial management and for the leadership and management of the financial team.

What the school offers its staff
This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday, throughout the whole year.
Hours are notionally 8.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m. (37 hours per week) 52.14 weeks a year but the leadership team here are not clock watchers and we set the tone for the rest of the Trust. Your attendance and participation in key functions will also be most welcome. Leave will align to agreed salary, plus bank holidays which will need to be taken in agreement with the CEO.
The salary offered will be offered within Scale 13 Pt. 49 (£62,861) – Pt. 53 (£69,144) according to experience. You will also be eligible to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
