Omega is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and dynamic equipment rental company to recruit a Field Service Engineer for their Cookstown site. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled and customer-focused engineer to join a leading business known for delivering quality machinery and first-class service across the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities - Field Service Engineer
• Carry out maintenance and repair work on a broad range of heavy plant and powered access machinery, both on customer sites and occasionally in the workshop.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues quickly and effectively to minimise equipment downtime.
• Provide excellent technical support and customer service, advising clients on equipment operation and usage.
• Ensure the highest standards of safety and maintenance compliance at all times.
• Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and equipment history documentation.
• Work closely with internal teams to enhance operational efficiency and team performance.
Qualifications & Requirements - Field Service Engineer
• Proven experience in plant and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Strong mechanical expertise with solid knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, and electronics.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for detail.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a professional, reliable approach.
• Full valid driving licence is essential for this field-based role.
