The Person
You will be a Trainee Engineer - servicing and repairing all manner of vending machines and some catering equipment across their customer premises once qualified but initially in the workshop. They expect all their staff to take ownership of their duties with an attitude of whatever it takes! The role is primarily cleaning based so good personal hygiene and care in appearance is essential. You will need to be a people person, driving and motivating yourself to achieve the highest possible standards within the industry and contribute towards an environment of exceptional customer service where going the extra mile is the norm.
The Description
- Shadow and assist experienced Engineers during installation, servicing, and repair of coffee and vending machines.
- Learn how to diagnose and resolve basic electrical and mechanical faults under supervision.
- Participate in hands-on training to build knowledge of a wide range of equipment and components.
- Attend internal and external training sessions to gain technical and industry-specific skills.
- Observe and support routine maintenance tasks, learning how to perform preventative servicing.
- Practice safe working methods and gain familiarity with Health and Safety standards in the field.
- Learn how to document service activities accurately using provided systems or paperwork.
- Develop an understanding of customer service expectations and how to represent the company professionally onsite.
- Gradually take on more responsibility as skills and confidence grow, with the aim of becoming a fully independent Engineer.
Prerequisites
- 5 GCSEs at Level 4 or Grade C or above
- An electrical qualification at Level 3 or above is essential
- A technical aptitude
- Clean driving licence.
