Location - Berwick-upon-Tweed
We are looking to recruit two Female Support Workers to provide personal care and companionship for a friendly lady in her 40s who lives with her family. The role involves up to 7 hours per week, split across short daily calls, covering Monday to Sunday.
This lady enjoys good conversation, a bit of telly, and appreciates friendly, familiar faces. She currently needs help with aspects of personal hygiene, including morning and evening routines and applying creams. Your support will also provide her family with some respite.
Hours of Support (to be shared between two workers):
- Morning call: 30 minutes at 8:00am on weekdays (flexible at weekends)
- Evening call: 30 minutes at 6:00pm on weekdays (flexible at weekends)
Exact days and times to be discussed at interview.
Holidays: 5.6 weeks per year, pro-rata
Expenses: Any out-of-pocket expenses reimbursed by the employer
DBS: Enhanced DBS required (cost covered)
Driving: Car driver with business insurance preferredMain Duties:
- Support with personal hygiene and applying creams
- Ensure safety and comfort when moving around the home
- Offer friendly company and conversation
- Ideally experienced in support work, home care or social care
- Positive, kind, and reliable
- Comfortable with routine and repetition
- High level of initiative and confidentiality
- Chatty, warm, and genuinely interested in helping others
