Crynodeb
Successful applicants would have an assigned educational supervisor who would be responsible for monitoring and aiding their progression, and identifying training needs. On call: 1 in 8 at Urology Registrar level, covering Worthing and Chichester Hospitals for urology. Acute Registrar of the Week: With these expansion posts were introducing a rota of 1:4 weeks where all elective clinical activity will be cancelled, allowing prompt access to CEPOD, A+E etc. Clinical duties Day time work will include a mixture of clinic and diagnostic investigations, manging the in-patient work with the support of the junior staff and a minimum of 2 supervised theatre lists a week. The successful applicant will be part of the team and involved in managing the in-patient work load. Teaching: There are weekly meetings which is attended by all departmental staff, rotating between clinical governance, business, journal and interesting cases There are regular weekly postgraduate meetings. The Trust supports the requirements for Continuing Medical Education as laid down by the Royal College of Surgeons and is committed to providing time and financial support for these activities. Research: The Urology Department is very research active, and the successful candidate would be encouraged to participate. Administrative The Trust Doctor will have responsibilities towards maintaining good documentation, prompt discharge communications and planning work.
