Summary
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team at FWS in Burscough. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations ,within a 30 mile radius, while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. The candidate having experience in commercial driving would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
Ensure products and quantities match each customers order
Help to plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
Communicate with the branch manager regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays/issues.
Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the delivery vehicle.
Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery logs and receipts.
Occasionally assist in sales duties when not on delivery routes.
Report any health and safety concerns immediately
Requirements
Valid driving licence and experience as a van driver an advantage.
Category C1 drivers lisence an advantage
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
Good communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service.
