We are seeking a clinical psychologist to cover maternity leave for a colleague established in this role. The post holder will work across the lifespan in Diabetes care and be embedded in the MDT for children, young people (0.4 wte) and adults (0.2 wte). You will be working in two established out-patient diabetes multi-disciplinary services; the paediatric and young persons’ team and the adult diabetes team
The post holder will work across the life span (children & young people with diabetes 0.4 WTE and adults with diabetes 0.2 WTE)and, with psychological therapist colleagues, providea clinical psychology service in the diabetes multidisciplinary teams.
Providing Psychological assessment and intervention for CYP and adults who have Diabetes.
Working within the MDT, mainly in Stoke Mandeville Hospital, taking the lead on Psychological care and supporting and consulting with the MDT to enhance the psychological experience of each patient.
Ensuring annual psychological assessment for all CYPs as required for Best Practice Tariff
Alongside your Clinical psychology colleague providing the CYP service for Diabetes in Wycombe Hospital, developing and leading psychological groups and also contributing to general Diabetes patient education groups
Running the psychological therapy service to adults with Diabetes by screening all referrals and allocating and supervising those referrals that are seen by the local Talking Therapies CBT therapist working in Diabetes
Risk assessment & liaison with outside mental Health agencies and social care as necessary to ensure safety of the CYP and Adults in your care
