Summary
Responsibilities
• Find faults: Use hand tools or diagnostic equipment to identify problems with the vehicle as well as experience and years of knowledge
• Repair or replace parts: Fix worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors and any and all car mechanical parts.
• Perform maintenance: Change oil, check fluid levels, and rotate tires and others
• Test vehicles: Road test vehicles to ensure repairs are effective, explain any problems problem, and what repair is needed to fix the fault.
• Keep records: Update vehicle service records
• Fit accessories: Install alarms, stereos, and other accessories
Working conditions
• Mechanics work in garages.
• Full-time Work
• They may work with oil and grease, so they should wear barrier cream to protect their hands
Education and training
• There are no formal academic entry requirements, However good work experience is necessary and the ability to undertake and complete task correctly is also essential.
