Would you like to work for a local solicitors with a long history and friendly working environment? They are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join them. The role includes a salary of up to £28,000, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a pension, death in service benefits and free onsite parking.
What will you be doing as a Legal Cashier:
Working alongside the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the client bank account in accordance with Solicitors Accounting Rules (SAR). Duties will include:
- Processing financial transactions, including client payments and disbursements
- Maintaining records of all transactions and ensuring compliance with legal accounting standards
- Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Communicating with clients and colleagues to resolve any discrepancies or queries regarding payments
- Handling outgoing payments (BACS, faster payments, CHAPs, and cheques), overseeing payment approvals, and managing queries
- Dealing with daily client bank reconciliation
- Ensuring recording of all financial transactions
- Managing shared query inboxes
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a similar Legal Cashier role
- A working knowledge of the SRA and AML rules
- Confident using Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience using ALB would be beneficial
