We believe in collaborative approaches to teaching and are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 classroom teacher with a passion for raising standards and ensuring excellent pupil progress.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences in Upper KS2, with a specific focus on driving up attainment and achievement. They will play a key role in the planning, assessment, and evaluation of the KS2 curriculum, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and excellence across the phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of pupils in Upper KS2.
- Implement strategies to drive up standards and improve pupil progress in reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Monitor and assess pupil performance, providing constructive feedback and setting challenging targets.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the KS2 curriculum, ensuring it is both enriching and challenging.
- Take a lead role in specific areas of KS2 development, such as assessment, subject leadership, or pastoral care.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including attending meetings, participating in events, and supporting extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience of teaching in Upper KS2.
- Demonstrated ability to raise standards and improve pupil outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for education and a commitment to pupil well-being.
