Driver Hire Uxbridge are seeking a professional and skilled HGV Class 2 HIAB/Grab Driver to join our client, a leading builders' merchant in Southall UB2. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality service as the company expands.

£36,250.00 + extra £1000.00 after 6 months (no absences / accidents / complaints etc) + quarterly branch bouses

20 days + 5 days at Christmas and bank holidays

Monday to Friday 07:00am to 16:30 + every other Saturday 08:00am to 12:00pm

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate a HIAB or grab lorry to deliver and collect roofing materials
• Maintain the vehicle to high safety standards
• Achieve operational targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Providing accurate daily information to enable an effective handover
• Ensuring a safe and productive workplace where the Company’s legislative and commercial obligations are met.
• Assist site staff with loading and unloading of materials

Ideal Candidate:
• Valid UK driving licence with Cat C
• Valid HIAB certification
• Valid Driver CPC and TACHO are essential
• At least 2 years’ experience driving a Class 2 vehicle
• Crane/HIAB knowledge is a plus but not essential
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Customer-focused with a proactive attitude
• Knowledge or experience of working in the roofing sector would be a bonus, but not essential
