Crynodeb
Ensure a high standard of technical and clinical competence. Perform analyse and report all routine lung function investigations within Respiratory Physiology Laboratory including Spirometry, diffusion studies, lung volume measurements, 6 min walk tests and tests of muscle pressure to required national standard. Perform, analyse and report Overnight Oximetry and Respiratory multichannel sleep studies. Contribute to the day to day requirements of the Sleep and CPAP service. Ensure calibration and quality control of equipment is carried out for all procedures. Assist and support the Lead Respiratory Physiologist in the safe effective management of the department including management of personnel, facilities and associated systems and processes. Act as a role model, presenting a positive image of self, team and the organisation Actively try to resolve issues and complaints at local level and then report the outcome to line manager. Communicate all relevant information to the multidisciplinary team internally and with external organisations as required, to ensure seamless care To participate in education and training of junior staff. Actively participate in research studies. Maintain and develop own professional competence and seek to extend the scope of personal knowledge and skills within scope of role and professional practice.
