Join a Growing Business Where Your Skills Matter

Alistair Electrical is an independent, growing electrical contractor that’s built a solid reputation since launching in 2016. We specialise in industrial and commercial electrical installation and maintenance, with some domestic work from time to time. Our clients trust us for quality, reliability, and technical know-how—especially in areas like control systems and facility maintenance.

With a strong pipeline of work and an excellent client base, we’re looking to hire an experienced, motivated Electrician who can hit the ground running and take real pride in their work.

About the Role

You’ll be working on a wide range of commercial and industrial projects across central Scotland and beyond. This is a varied role offering hands-on work and opportunities to grow technically—perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and developing their career.

Typical work includes:
• Lighting maintenance & upgrades (including LED retrofits)
• Small power installation & general facility maintenance
• Socket outlet & Audio-Visual installations
• Containment, DB upgrades & panel building
• Control circuit fault-finding, design & wiring
• PAT testing & EICR inspections

Some travel and early starts/occasional overnight stays will be required.

What You’ll Get
• £20/hr base pay, with opportunities for overtime
• Company van (business use)
• Tools, workwear & branded uniform provided
• A permanent, stable role with clear expectations
• Independence & trust to manage your own workload
• A positive, respectful company culture
• Opportunities to expand your skills in control systems & engineering

Who We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who’s not just technically sound—but also reliable, professional, and keen to grow with us.

You’ll need to have:
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualified
• 18th Edition (essential)
• Strong experience in commercial/industrial environments
• Solid understanding of control circuits & electrical fault-finding
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK

Bonus points for:
• Experience with control panel work or basic electrical engineering
• Supervisory or site management experience
• EICR / testing & inspection qualifications

The Right Fit

This role suits someone who:
• Takes initiative and works well without micro-management
• Keeps high standards of housekeeping and site conduct
• Is punctual, organised and a clear communicator
• Wants to build a long-term career, not just a short-term job
