As a direct service provider, Liverpool Streetscene Services Ltd are responsible for the following services throughout the city of Liverpool:
Waste Management - Refuse & Recycling Collection Service
Street Cleansing
Greenspaces – Parks, Cemeteries and Highways Grounds Maintenance

These services are key to ensuring the City of Liverpool remains clean, green and accessible to all, helping to develop and maintain local civic pride. We are ambitious, both as an organisation and as a city. Our plans for growth coupled with the high standards that we set for our services requires exceptionally talented individuals who will be enthusiastic about being part of this organisation.
We are seeking to recruit a Tractor Driver Operative as part of our Greenspace Service to provide effective driving and operative functions to maintain and continuously improve the image of LSSL across Liverpool.
As part of this role you operate a range of tractors and associated equipment in order to maintain amenity grassland, sports turf, ecological grassed areas, wildflower meadows, hedges, shrubberies and other general greenspace features.
As part of this role you will be required to operate Combi Tractor Mowers, rotary gang mowers, rear flails, front end loaders, sports turf related renovation equipment and timber trailers and grabs.
You will be required to carry out a range of tasks, including, but not limited to, large scale grass cutting, leaf clearance, renovation works, bucket work, flail and side-arm flail operations.
You must be competent in operating large plant, machinery & equipment, working alone or as part of a team to deliver specified targets whilst ensuring any hazards associated with your operations are minimised.
You will be required to deal effectively with any enquiries received whilst working on the network and will be required to take responsibility for any vehicles or equipment including vehicle checks and security of items.
To fulfil the requirements of this role you must have a full UK driving licence Cat B or Cat BE. You must have an NPORS, Lantra, NPTC or equivalent certification for the purpose of operating tractors and associated implements. You must have previous experience in tractor driving within a commercial environment.
Salary: Scale 5, SCP 17 - £30,060
Contract: Full time, permanent position
Location: Newton Road Depot, Liverpool, L13 3HS
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 35 hours per week, 8:00am to 3:30pm
