Salary: Grade E Scp 11 £27,269 to Scp 17 £30,060 pro rata
Actual Salary: £23,951 to £26,403 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week Term Time plus 10 days
Start date: 1 July 2025
We are looking to appoint an experienced, organised, enthusiastic, creative and dedicated Kitchen Manager with the skill set for a managerial role along with excellent cooking skills who can inspire and lead the catering team.
We have many ‘foodie children’ who can’t wait to sample your food!
The Federation Schools are a two form entry mainstream primary Cherry Tree; a large special needs primary school Green Fold; and The Orchards Nursery which also has provision for 2 year olds and a SEN High Needs Base. The 2 kitchens are sited one on the Upper Site and one on the Lower Site. The kitchens cater for all of the Federations 4 sites. The buildings are very well resourced and maintained. We all share a joint mission statement:

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the following skills:
Proven experience and skills in mass catering provision
A passion for food and customer service
The skills to plan and produce termly menus taking into account, legislative requirements and the needs of the children and staff at school.
The ability to produce meals within a set budget
Excellent people skills
The ability to work under pressure whilst retaining a sense of humour.
An NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation & Cooking or equivalent
A food Hygiene Certificate
