Newcastle College is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and qualified professional to take on the role of Curriculum Leader in Business (Further Education).

The successful candidate will support the Head of Curriculum for Business and will be responsible for leading and managing the further education department. The role also includes administrative responsibilities to ensure effective department management. A key focus will be to drive Further Education recruitment in line with Newcastle College KPI's whilst ensuring the programme teams are supported to achieve their goals.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in leading and managing teams and will hold as a minimum a Level 6 qualification in Business or industry-recognised qualification equivalent along with a post-16 teaching qualification or a commitment to achieving this within an agreed timeframe. Level 2 English and maths qualifications are essential, or the candidate must be willing to attain them. A proven track record of leading and managing teams to achieve KPI's must be evident with an emphasis on high quality further education provision.

Experience in successful programme leadership within further education is essential. Candidates should also have proven success in designing and implementing teaching strategies that support further education students, including those with additional needs or barriers to learning. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet curriculum demands is also required.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a cohesive and successful team. The Business Academy at Newcastle College is a supportive and collaborative environment where colleagues work effectively together to ensure students achieve their full potential and stakeholders receive maximum value from the curriculum.
