Summary
The Security Officer will be responsible for supporting the management team in delivering the smooth and efficient running of the front of house area. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills both written and oral, as they will be communicating with the client and occupiers FM teams on deliveries and contractor attendance at this corporate building.For a mixed-use development on the cusp of the city and Shoreditch, holding 246 residences and 6 floors of office space, A variety of retail units then bookend the boutique hotel and members’ club in the period building on Sun Street which has truly created a new destination to London.Information:Position: Security Officer Location: Central London (EC2A)Pay Rate: £14.20 per hourHours: 56 hours per weekShifts: 3 on 3 off Days & Nights Job Role / Requirements:SIA licence required5* Corporate Security, Concierge or Front of House experience for at least 1 year an advantage.Must be flexible and have the flexibility to change shifts due to operational needsIT Literate - Basic understanding of access control systems and IT systems/programmes i.e., Microsoft Office for emailsIdeally to understand a visitor management systemExcellent written and verbal communication skills as well as customer serviceMust have an excellent command of English LanguageReliable, Responsible and PunctualA friendly, professional, courteous, and outgoing characterTo always take pride in your appearance, ensuring immaculate presentationFlexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific dutiesBe able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested Duties & Responsibilities:Participate and contribute positively to the security teamBe committed to health & safety and ensure that you are familiar with all Client Health & Safety policies and procedures. Police and encourage observance with all site security & safety policies, in particular ensuring that the access control, key control, smoking and Health & Safety policies are observed and enforced in an appropriate manner.Always respond to all incidents in a prompt and effective manner to safeguard the wellbeing of occupiers, visitors and assets of the Client ensuring that direction from line management is sought where appropriate.Maintain all required records as directed by line management to ensure that full transparency of events and their handling is possibleAct responsibly when receiving and holding all site keys that may be drawn in conducting your required tasksEnsure access control policy is adhered toProvide a polite and effective meet and greet service to all staff and visitors, whilst strictly observing access control proceduresReport building fault reports where appropriate escalating to the SCR and if necessary, request the assistance of senior line management in resolvingAt the start/end of each tour of duty ensure that the prescribed unlock/lock up procedures are conducted correctlyDuring corporate events, liaise with line management to ensure that adequate levels of security are maintained during the life of any event and complete any additional closedown checks that are required after the event has concludedKeep current knowledge up to date and read all SOPS, risk assessments and other operational documentation thoroughly.Follow any such reasonable instruction as issued by Line Management.To patrol the external public realm areaBenefits:Health care plan (HSF)Perk Box (HSF) - discounts & offers from cinema tickets to days outCycle to work schemeTailed Site UniformFirst class training allowing you to develop your skillsA view for career developmentLong service & Employee Recognition awardsCIS Security has been providing manned guarding services since 1972 and has developed into one of the most effective and reliable security companies in England.
