Requirements:

  • Tech/A level Chemistry / A level Biology / Food Technology Qualification
  • Experience working in microbiology lab (minimum 6 months)
  • Understanding the concepts of microbial testing

Responsibilities:

As a Food Safety Micro Specialist, you will:

  • Support the running of the microbiological laboratory and ensure it is operating to standard
  • Provide data, support and advice to the Site Operations Teams to improve decision making regarding quality and food safety issues
  • Support compiling reports for weekly meetings and sharing actions to follow up
  • Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Replenishment of chemical/microbial media on daily basis
  • Complete stock take reports and create minimum order requirements
  • General laboratory procedures and housekeeping
  • Contribution in continuous improvement/problem solving
  • Support 5S standards
