Responsible to: Manager
Responsible for: Working within the required parameters to care for children.
Main Purpose of the Job: To assist in the day to day organisation and running of The Base Out of School Club.
Main Duties:
• Taking part in the delivery of creative, appropriate play opportunities in a safe and caring environment.
• Taking part in providing full care for all the children including ensuring safe transition between school, club and parents.
• Assist in the preparation of the activities and programmes of play.
• Help keep the required daily records and deal with the day to day administration of the club.
• Assist with the purchasing and maintenance of the equipment and resources.
• Administer First Aid as and when required and complete appropriate paperwork.
• Work with the build partnerships with parents, schools, local authority and other agencies.
• Attend meetings when required with the manager.
• Have a good understanding of equal opportunities.
• Work with the set of policies and procedures.
• Complete training courses when asked as part of appraisal process.
• Take on extra role responsibilities as delegated by club manager, ie. Behaviour Early Years Foundation, Health and Safety and Special Needs.
• Safeguarding children at all times.
