Please note we are looking for someone with flexibility, initially on a zero hours contract, starting 1-2 days a week. This would make an ideal second job for someone or perfect for someone who has other commitments and needs flexibility.

Main Purpose of Job:

To support the brewery's operations by ensuring casks are cleaned to the highest standards and assist with various brewing tasks. This role is vital to maintaining the quality of our cask ales and supporting the overall production process.

Main responsibilities

-Efficiently clean and sanitise casks using designated equipment to ensure they meet the brewery's quality standards.
-Inspect casks for damage and perform basic repairs or report issues to the Head Brewer.
-Assist in the filling of casks with freshly brewed ale, ensuring accurate measurement and quality control.
-Maintain accurate records of cleaned and filled casks, adhering to inventory management practices.
-Follow strict hygiene and quality control processes to maintain the integrity of our products.
-Ensure all casks are correctly labelled with accurate information, including product details, batch numbers, cask tracking and allergen information.


General responsibilities

-Assist the brewing team with daily operations including brewing, fermenting, racking, picking and moving stock and packaging processes.
-Help maintain cleanliness and organisation in the brewery, including cleaning floors, equipment, and workspaces.
-Work closely with the brewing team to ensure smooth operation and high-quality production.
-Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Additional duties:

-Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles and the transportation of casks as needed.
-Support brewery events, tours, and tastings, including setting up and taking down equipment.
-Assist in managing stock levels of brewing ingredients and supplies, notifying the Head Brewer of any shortages.
-Undertake any other reasonable management request
-Attend staff meetings when required
-Work flexibly where possible to support the business when required

Legal Duties:

-Comply with all health and safety regulations, ensuring all procedures are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
-Follow waste disposal regulations and procedures to minimise environmental impact.
-Comply fully with all legal requirements including GDPR, Employment law, Weights and Measures, Health and Safety (this list is not exhaustive)
-Attend any Health and Safety training when required
-Ensure full compliance with all areas of Health and Safety as per company Health and Safety policy at all times
-Ensure full compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations at all times
